RCIA
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
easter vigil 2002

gathering after the vigil with newly received and confirmed catholicsThe RCIA is a group of parishioners who work with converts coming into the church and adult Catholics who seek to continue their on going conversion through Confirmation and Eucharist. Through the reading and sharing of scripture as well as the sharing of our faith and how it has touched us and worked in our lives, we the team journey together with the candidates towards a fuller relationship with Jesus and his Church. Each week a team member will lead a discussion on a teaching of the church using scripture as a basis. The candidates and team members then meet in groups to answer the question "So What?". The groups answer that question to see how these lessons affect their lives. Then, of course, there is always time for coffee, cake and a chance to get to know one another better. The team consists of ministers of hospitality, sponsors, teachers and other team members. We meet weekly from October to Easter.
